Mobility + Architecture

Marcus was inspired to pursue a career in the automotive industry at a young age, motivated by the factory tours his uncle gave him at his workplace producing vehicles for Mercedes Benz in Stuttgart, Germany.

In fourth grade, he built a gasoline powered Go-Kart from scratch with his father and brother. In high school he built hydrolyzers to increase vehicle fuel efficiency, and repaired his own vehicles. In college, he converted diesel engines to run on waste vegetable oil.

After studying architecture at Syracuse University, he co-founded Nomad Mobility Inc. to combine his passion for architecture and all things automotive. Convinced that electric vehicles were the future, he and his brother built the first Nomad prototype on top of a Tesla Model S chassis.

He is currently building a hydrogen microturbine and axial flux motor in efforts to develop the next generation of electric powertrains.
